Project Walkthrough
Get up and running in Juicebox by creating your first project, launching your first search, and sending your first outreach sequence.
Setting up your first project
Now that you’ve signed up for Juicebox, watch the demo below to learn how to create a project, run your first search, and launch your first sequence.
Please note, some features described may only be available on the Juicebox business plan.
Step 1: Create Your First Project
Projects are used to organize all sourcing activity in Juicebox. Each project should represent a single role or job description and will act as the folder for your searches, shortlisted candidates, and outreach activity. If role requirements change significantly, we recommend creating a new project to keep sourcing efforts organized and reporting accurate.
To create a project, navigate to Projects and select Create New Project. From there, enter your project details, configure access and collaborators, and link the project to your ATS job (business plans only) before selecting Create Project.
Step 2: Start Your Search
Once your project has been created, you’re ready to begin sourcing. Juicebox offers multiple ways to build a search depending on your workflow and starting point, and each of those is outlined below:
- Describe the type of candidate using our natural language prompting (recommended)
- Find similar profiles from a candidate profile or resume
- Upload a job description to kick off your search
- Build a Boolean search from scratch
- Configure filters manually
For more information on creating your search, please view our Search article here.
Step 3: Review and Shortlist Candidates
After launching your search, Juicebox will automatically rank the candidates based on how closely they align with your search criteria so your strongest matches appear first.
Begin reviewing candidates to evaluate fit for the role and shortlist anyone you’d like to move forward with. Shortlisted candidates are saved directly within the project, making it easy to track progress and prepare for outreach.
Step 4: Analyze the Current Market with Insights
Before reviewing all candidates, you may want to better understand the makeup of your market. Select Insights to explore trends across your search results, including candidate locations, skills, employers, job titles, and more.
Step 5: Sequence Candidates
Once you are ready to contact your candidates, please navigate to your project’s Shortlist from the left-hand menu.
From the shortlist, you can track candidate engagement, including who has been contacted, who has responded, and who is interested. For those not yet contacted, you can:
- Select the candidates you would like to contact
- Choose Add to Sequence from the top right corner
- Select an existing sequence or create a new one
- Choose whether to target personal or professional emails
- Preview your outreach and send
Now that you’ve created your first project and completed your first sourcing workflow, you understand the core fundamentals of Juicebox and are ready to start sourcing across all of your open roles!
